PE & School Sport

Our PE & School Sport provision has been developed to fulfil the requirements of the National Curriculum covering EYFS through to KS2. This can be delivered as PPA Cover or as part of our Teacher CPD Programme which aims to develop your workforce enabling them to deliver high quality physical education confidently.

Swim:ED

Here at TB SPORT our Swim:ED Programme provides your school with a heated & secure on site pool, with swimming and water safety lessons delivered by a qualified swimming instructor & lifeguard.

Breakfast, Afterschool & Holiday Clubs

Our wrap around care provision includes breakfast clubs before school, as well as after school clubs and activities which is provided at your child’s school.

We strongly believe in providing safe, nurturing, affordable, inclusive, and engaging wrap around care, which is why we are OFSTED accredited, trusted by parents, carers & teachers and loved by kids.

Our holiday clubs located across Nottinghamshire provide children with a range of fun activities, including sports, crafts, games and theme days.

Targeted Intervention & Teaching Assistant Services

We aim for our sports provision to be as inclusive as possible. This is why, in addition to our PE Lessons and Lunchtime & After School Sports Coaching Clubs, we provide the following programmes;

+ Mini Movers - aimed at the least 20% Active Children within the School
+ Wildcats Girls Football
+ Mentoring and Behavioural Support
+ This Girl Can - equal access sports clubs in order to boost female participation
+ FA Shooting Stars - a physical literacy programme

These programmes give our team of dedicated & qualified sports coaches the chance to raise the profile of PE & Sport across your school even further and to offer equal access to sports in school & offering girls and boys the same sports, where it is wanted - meeting a key indicator of next year’s Primary PE and Sport Premium funding.

Schools can cut their supply costs and further boost their pupils relationship with our Wraparound Care Staff by utilising them as teaching assistants within school. All teaching assistants are qualified (or working towards) at a minimum of Level 3.

A fantastic presence!

Lauren has a fantastic presence in our school, and the children love working with her. Lauren has been paramount in helping lead lunch times on the playground. She has taken responsibility for organising sports ambassadors, including their training, and timetabling, which in turn improves behaviour and increases pupil’s participation in active and social play during lunch. Lauren is always friendly, positive, and flexible making a brilliant team member. Lauren is adaptable and responsive to need, which is essential in the school. The take up of the sports afterschool clubs is high and Lauren’s dance speciality is a real asset for our school. Using Lauren’s skills for CPD has been excellent for increasing teacher’ confidence in delivering PE lessons.

Huge demand for the clubs!

It has been great having Tom in school this term again. The children respond well to him and know him so well now that they feel they can try new things in his PE lessons. We have also had other TB SPORT representatives in school sometimes assisting with lessons or teaching when Tom can’t and leading the afterschool clubs we offer through TB SPORT. The afterschool clubs are full and are in such huge demand that children get places on first come, first-served basis. Greythorn Primary School is very appreciative of the work TB SPORT does with us and with our children and how much they all gain from everything offered to them through TB SPORT's provision.
